BrambleFor over two decades Barbara has directed the NWF’s advocacy to improve US international environmental policy, while also promoting social and environmental reforms at the World Bank and other multi-lateral development banks. She is a leader in building consensus within industry on voluntary certification for sustainable agricultural and forest products, including for biomass. She was formerly Chair of the FSC US and currently chairs the Board of Directors of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials. 

Ms. Bramble was a key organizer of the International NGO Forum at the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro and the Rio+5 conference in 1997. She has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations in Brazil, Mexico and the US. Before joining the NWF, she served as legal advisor to the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and as an environmental lawyer in private practice.
