Ignacio Pinto

Chief Operating Officer, TECHO

zoomIgnacio PintoIgnacio PintoIgnacio Pinto is a social entrepreneur. He was part of the founding team of volunteers that established the non-profit TECHO in Argentina in 2006. As its General Manager from 2007 to 2010, he helped TECHO become the fastest-growing NGO in the local market at that time. He then continued to work at TECHO’s headquarters as Regional Director for Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Brazil, and is now COO of TECHO Global.

Mr. Pinto was also part of the team responsible for the vertical integration of social housing manufacturing plants in Argentina (leading the R&D stage) and Colombia. Both initiatives focused on decreasing operating costs, generating labor opportunities for members of the communities they worked with, and ensuring responsible supply of materials.

He previously worked in the controlling and supply-chain areas of AES and 3M, respectively. He is an Industrial Engineer with an MBA obtained while working at TECHO Argentina. He is 30 years old, happily married, has a 3-month-old son, and currently lives in Santiago, Chile.
