zoomJim LopezAfter 16 years in progressively senior positions at Tembec, Jim Lopez was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2006. Between 1999 and 2006, as Executive Vice President of the Forest Resource Management Group, he was responsible for the strategic and operational management of more than 40 million acres of public and private woodlands.
Mr Lopez has worked raise Tembec’s corporate sustainability profile, and led the company to a number of landmark achievements in forest certification and conservation. These include a partnership agreement with the World Wildlife Fund of Canada, through which the company certified over 13 million hectares of forest lands, becoming the world leader in FSC certification.
Mr Lopez has been active in numerous industry, trade and technical associations.
